Manoj GadhwalManoj Gadhwal

I was born and raised on a small family farm in Haryana, India. I graduated from Punjab Agricultural University, India with B Tech and M Tech degree in Agriculture Engineering. I am currently involved in precision agriculture research focused on remote sensing of agricultural crops with a strong interest in UAV/Satellite based thermal and multi-spectral imaging, geospatial data analysis, and crop health monitoring, I aim to assist farmers in improving their earning-to-cost ratio by providing precise and timely inputs for crop monitoring.

  • Precision irrigation management through thermal and multispectral remote sensing:
    • Thermal infrared (TIR) image quality and accuracy assessment at different altitudes using UAV-collected images.
    • High-resolution canopy temperature, crop water stress, NDVI, and NDRE mapping of corn fields to deliver precise irrigation management zones.
    • UAV, Aircraft, and Satellite imagery’s accuracy and practical implementation assessment for detecting fine-scale crop canopy temperature and pigmentation variations.
